Increasing our Impact: Expanding the Taylor's Gift Board of Directors

Today, we are proud to announce the expansion of our Board of Directors. Our organization is fortunate to have such well known and respected business leaders and community volunteers from across the nation as our leadership team. Each of our Board Members believes in the importance of organ donation and is excited about the growth of Taylor's Gift. We know that with through their dedication and hard work our mission will reach more people and make an even greater impact.

August 20, 2015 – Taylor’s Gift Foundation today announced the expansion of their Board of Directors and welcomed a new group of officers to serve as leaders for the next year. The announcement comes as the Foundation celebrates its fifth year of educating and registering organ donors in its mission to “Regift Life, Renew Health, and Restore Families” and prepares to kick off a new season of fundraising events.

Dina Conte Schulz, a 25-year news and entertainment veteran and founding board member of the Foundation, was named Board Chair.

“Each one of us has a gift within,” said Conte Schulz. “I encourage you to find out more about the Foundation, and I hope you’ll join me, my fellow board members and millions who have taken the first step. It’s life saving.”

Serving alongside Conte Schulz are fellow board members:

  • Vice Chair Matt Sunshine, Managing Partner – The Center for Sales Strategy

  • Treasurer Marsha Skinner – Entrepreneur

  • Secretary, Tara Storch – Co-Founder of Taylor’s Gift and award-winning author

Additionally, the board elected the following individuals as Board Officers:

  • Tony Bridwell – Chief People Officer – Brinker International

  • Hans George – Vice President of Merchandising – NIKE North America

  • Greg Goyne – Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing – Nationstar Mortgage

  • Eleanor Keare – Independent Consultant

  • Patricia Niles – President & CEO – Southwest Transplant Alliance

  • Mitchell Savage – Managing Partner and Founder – Vissero Partners

  • Steve Smith – Equity Partner – Firehouse advertising agency

The newly-elected board has a full year ahead starting with the Foundation’s annual Top Golf Tournament in the Dallas area on September 18. The Foundation will also host the first-annual Outlive Yourself Awards on November 5 in Dallas at 3015 in Trinity Groves. The Awards will honor those who are making a lasting difference in the lives of others and will be hosted by CBS reality-TV host and Taylor’s Gift spokesperson, Jeff Probst. CBS DFW will also serve as the official media sponsor for the event.

About Taylor’s Gift Foundation

Founded in 2010, Taylor’s Gift Foundation operates under the mission “Regift Life, Renew Health, and Restore Families” while helping educate and register organ donors through sharing Taylor’s story. In 2013, the Foundation established the Legacy Gift program, which aims to provide financial support to individuals and families touched by organ donation. Additionally, the Foundation has extended its capabilities by partnering with Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) such as Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA), New York Organ Donor Network (LiveOnNY) and LifeGift. Their goals is to expand this program across the nation.
